چکیده

Abstract To explore the key factors and specific thresholds of water resources limiting economic development, to provide technical support for management in cities dominated by agriculture similar Zhangjiakou. We used Tapio elastic decoupling method quantitatively evaluate relationship between ecological footprint (WEF) growth. Then logarithmic mean Divisia index (LMDI) mathematical statistics are identify threshold effects. The results show a significant decreasing trend WEF obvious spatial differences Zhangjiakou 2006 2015, with agricultural dominating all districts counties (77.54 ± 14.35%). changes technological effect contributing factor economy Zhangjiakou, while is main restricting factor. In particular, there high correlation number water-saving irrigation machines total power machinery. According findings, water-scarce such as where primary focus, it suggested that increasing machinery can effectively alleviate problem scarcity constraining development.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Water and Economic Growth*

Several hydrological studies forecast a global problem of water scarcity. This raises the question as to whether increasing water scarcity may impose constraints on the growth of countries. The influence of water utilisation on economic growth is depicted through a growth model that includes this congestible nonexcludable good as a productive input for private producers. Growth is negatively af...

Mapping and analysis of pressures on water resources from agriculture to target water and agriculture policies

11 A recent work carried out by CREA (ex INEA) compared spatial analysis of the main problems 12 concerning the use of water resources for irrigation in Italian River basin districts (RBD) with the 13 policy measures for water resources and agriculture, in order to verify the relevance of planning 14 to address specific regional sensitivities. The bases for the policy analysis was River basin 1...

Relationship between Ecological Footprint and Economic Growth in D8 Countries: Testing the Kuznets Environmental Hypothesis Using PSTR Model

This study examines the Kuznets environmental curve among D8 countries in the period 1961–2016. The Kuznets environmental curve shows the reversed U-shaped relationship between economic growth and environmental degradation. In this paper, two methods of time series estimation and smooth panel transition estimation were used to test the hypothesis of this relationship. Also, the ecological footp...
